Local URL Lookup
When powering up your RF Power Nanny, the red LED turns on and your Power Nanny will try to connect to your local WiFi network using the credentials configured during setup. During this connecting phase the blue LED turns on. If successfully connected, the blue LED turns off. In case it could not connect to your local WiFi network, the blue LED starts blinking.
-
If it could not connect (blinking blue LED), you still can access your Power Nanny in AP mode. See Setup Guide.
-
If it did connect (blue LED turned off), you can access your Power Nanny using a browser on any device on the same WiFi network. You can either use the mDNS URL or use the IP address of your Power Nanny. On most modern devices the mDNS URL will work fine. If not you can use the direct IP address.
This lookup tool can be used to find the exact URL to use. It needs the MAC address of your RF Power Nanny and it will report back the local URL on which it can be accessed. This URL is valid only when connected to your own local WiFi network (the same WiFi network your Power Nanny is connected to).
For this to work you have to turn on sharing (See Station Settings). Also your Power Nanny should have internet access for at least 3 minutes (blue LED not blinking) to be able to register itself.
First enter the MAC address of your RF Power Nanny. You will find it on your calibration report that was shipped with your RF Power Nanny. The MAC address is not case sensitive and consists of 12 characters.
